Joseph Melendez is a retired U.S. Air Force Major with over 21 years of experience leading operations where mistakes carried real consequences. He directed crisis and risk decisions across the United States, Latin America, Europe, and the Indo-Pacific, operating in environments where clarity, discipline, and judgment determined outcomes. After military service, he brought that operational rigor to the private sector, strengthening crisis response and business continuity for advanced manufacturing operations in Puerto Rico.
Through Hurakn Consulting, Melendez advises organizations and political initiatives operating under pressure, public scrutiny, or institutional resistance. He designs strategy and communications for clients across the U.S. and Latin America and has filed documented complaints with federal and state oversight agencies to force accountability when systems fail. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is trusted for one reason: he executes when outcomes matter.
